| Dr. Stephen Voorwinde (b. 1947) is Lecturer in Greek and New Testament at the Reformed Theological College in Geelong, Victoria. Dr. Voorwinde and his wife Nancy live in Geelong. They have two adult children. In his spare time Dr. Voorwinde enjoys travel, reading, bushwalking and body-surfing. Dr. Voorwinde pastored churches in the U.S.A. and Australia before joining the faculty at the RTC in 1985. His areas of expertise include the New Testament, Koine Greek and Hermeneutics. He is a member of the Australian College of Theology and the Society for the Study of Early Christianity. Dr. Voorwinde's doctoral dissertation on the emotions of Jesus in John's Gospel was published in 2005 under the title, Jesus' Emotions in the Fourth Gospel: Human or Divine? He also has written Wisdom for Today's Issues: A Topical Arrangement of the Proverbs (1996) as well as articles for The Banner of Truth, Reformed Theological Review, Vox Reformata and the Westminster Theological Journal. He is contributing chapters to Content and Setting of the Gospel Tradition and Perspectives on Eternal Security. Dr. Voorwinde is a regular speaker in academic and church settings around Australia. |
